The Concertgebouw Fund Foundation

The Concertgebouw is a world-class cultural institution funded almost exclusively by the private sector. Its mission is to provide an unforgettable musical experience to as wide an audience as possible. To accomplish that mission, however, the Concertgebouw relies on the involvement and generosity of a growing number of private individuals. The Concertgebouw has long depended on support from individuals and the business community. Today, private sector support ensures that future music lovers will also be able to enjoy the unique musical offering of the Concertgebouw, one of the world’s most beautiful concert halls.

In 2000, the Concertgebouw Fund Foundation was established to help finance future-oriented projects such as the renovation of various parts of the building, which dates from 1888, restoration activities and an educational programme that brings over 30,000 children to the building each year.

Private individuals and foundations committed to preserving this rich cultural heritage support the Concertgebouw Fund. Donors may request that gifts be designated for a specific purpose, such as renovation or education. In the long term, the Concertgebouw Fund will serve as a capital base generated from donations and bequests to promote continuity and to meet objectives.

We greatly appreciate each and every contribution made to the Concertgebouw Fund and would be happy to provide you with information on the various forms of gifting and on the tax benefits these offer.
