About The Concertgebouw Fund Foundation
The Concergebouw Fund Foundation (Stichting Het Concertgebouw Fonds) was created in 2000 to ensure the future of the Concertgebouw. The fund is specifically focussed on the survival of the beautiful 19th century Concertgebouw itself and on the generation and support of a future audience for the music it plays host to.
The Concertgebouw Fund raises funds for the financing of current and future renovations and restorations of the intensively-used Concertgebouw building. The fund also wants to offer financial support to those educational activities of the Concertgebouw which enable young people to become acquainted, while they are still at school, with the unique building and the world of serious music to which it provides a home.
The Concertgebouw Fund has been registered as a charitable institution as defined in art. 24, section 4 of the Dutch Inheritance Act of 1956. As such, donations to the Fund can benefit from the extremely favourable fiscal situation under which in principle no gift tax has to be paid and donations are in principle income tax deductible.
