Pianist Polo de Haas plays a rich concert programme for those who love minimal music, with music by Philips Glass and Erik Satie and Canto ostinato by Simeon Ten Holt.
Canto ostinato
Polo de Haas plays the refined and highly imaginative Canto ostinato by Simeon Ten Holt.
Polo de Haas and Erik Satie
Polo de Haas played in his entire career a lot of music of the French composer and 'velvet man' Erik Satie. After graduating at the Amsterdam Conservatory, De Haas organised a concert in the small hall of the Concertgebouw devoted to the works of the then not very well known composer Erik Satie. In this hall composers are honored with their names in light blue signs so De Haas created a similar sign in the honor of Erik Satie. In this concert De Haas plays a selection of the most loved and intriguing pieces of this eccentric and creative French master.
