The Royal Concertgebouw is renowned for its world-famous acoustics and has three beautiful concert halls: the Main Hall, the Recital Hall and the Choir Hall. The halls are mainly suited to acoustical concerts.

Main hall

The Main Hall offers space for 1974 people and the podium can accommodate a symphony orchestra. If desired, we can enlarge the podium with 3.66 metres (podium width). The seats can also be removed from the hall upon request, and additional technical facilities and lights can be added. There are foyers surrounding the Main Hall that can be used during breaks and to receive guests.

The Recital Hall offers space for 437 people and is suitable for chamber music orchestras, piano recitals, small ensembles, jazz and children’s concerts, etc. The seats in the Recital Hall cannot be removed. There are two foyers surrounding the Recital Hall that can be used during breaks or to receive guests.

Choir hall

The Choir Hall offers space for 150 people. The hall is suitable for piano recitals, jazz concerts and children’s productions. It is also possible to organise a sit-down dinner in combination with a piano recital.
