Season 2020-2021
The ideal trinity for intimate ensemble playing
Piano, violin and cello: sometimes it only takes three instruments to create a full palette of tone colours. In this series you’ll hear the best of the genre, played by renowned ensembles, like the Sitkovetsky Trio, with violinist Alexander Sitkovetsky, playing piano trios by Arensky and Tchaikovsky.
Each of the members of the Trio Shaham Erez Wallfisch was already a highly respected soloist when the trio was formed in 2009. The three will play a homage to Beethoven, including the three Kakadu variations, to mark his 250th birthday. The Van Baerle Trio, founded in 2004, ‘ensures you won’t miss the orchesta’, according to Dutch newspaper de Volkskrant. These three young musicians will play a programme encompassing the entire history of the piano trio, from Haydn to MacMillan.
This concert takes place in the Recital Hall, start 20:15
