Easing of the corona measures
At the moment, The Concertgebouw has two different options for organizing concerts:
- Option 1: we organize concerts where it is not necessary to show a proof of vaccination/testing/recovery. In that case, the 1,5-meters distancing must be respected, and The Concertgebouw can receive 425 visitors in the Main Hall and 115 in the Recital Hall.
- Option 2: we organize concerts where it is necessary to show a corona test certificate or EU Digital COVID Certificate (DCC). In that case, there is no need to keep distance and The Concertgebouw can receive more visitors in the Recital Hall and the Main Hall.
What does this mean for the concerts in the upcoming months?
The concerts from 1 to 25 July:
Concerts during this period take place as described under option 1: during these concerts we maintain the 1,5-meters distancing, both in the foyers and in the hall. Wearing a face mask when you move through the building is still necessary. As soon as you have taken your seat in the hall, you can take off your face mask. You do not need to show a proof of vaccination/testing/recovery.
The concerts from July 30 to August 29
We want to make it possible for more listeners to visit these concerts. That is why these concerts take place as described under option 2. This means that you must show a corona test certificate or EU Digital COVID Certificate (DCC) at our entrance. You do not have to wear a face mask in the building. You can take your drink into the hall and you will be escorted to your seat by our employees.
Visitors who have bought tickets for concerts during this period will be informed soon about the obligation to show a corona test certificate or DCC at the entrance.
The concerts from September 1
At the moment we are looking at how the concerts after September 1 will take place. When the situation after September 1 is clear, we will inform visitors who have bought tickets for concerts during this period about the possible additional conditions associated with a visit to The Concertgebouw.
