Concertgebouw OPEN 2026 - program
There’s plenty to do during Concertgebouw OPEN. Find out below who’s performing and what else there is to do!
Piano Nights (Main Hall) – Hannes Minnaar and Helena Basilova will perform an OPEN edition of Piano Nights, the concert series that combines classical and neoclassical masterpieces.
The Klassiek Collectief (Main Hall) – This symphony orchestra consists of both professional and amateur musicians. They will perform various highlights from the classical repertoire, including movements from Tchaikovsky’s Sixth Symphony and several of Dvořák’s Slavonic Dances.
Carlos Simon (Pleinfoyer) – American composer Carlos Simon is our composer-in-residence for the 2026–2027 season. He will perform his own works on the piano and introduce himself to the audience in an interview.
Laurens de Man (Main Hall) – The young organist Laurens de Man performs beloved organ classics on the iconic Maarschalkerweerd organ.
Otilka Quartet (Recital Hall) – This promising string quartet will perform next season as part of the 'Young Dutch Artists' series and will offer a preview of the program they will perform later this season.
El Karima (Recital Hall) – El Karima combines centuries-old Sufi poetry and traditional Arabic singing with contemporary compositions. In April 2027, she will perform in our Recital Hall as part of an edition of Scherpdenkers.
Umut Veysel Demirtaş (Antichambre) – This pianist and composer performs his own works in the Antichambre, the room where conductors and soloists prepare for their performances and which is normally off-limits to the public. Umut is a familiar face at The Concertgebouw, as he also works here as an usher!
Chaerin Im (Choir Hall) - This South Korean pianist is one of the biggest stars on Amsterdam’s current jazz scene. At the Choir Hall, she performs her own compositions and improvisations. In October, she will return to the Choir Hall with her trio Neon River for a concert during ADE.
Gerson Main (Choir Hall) – Songwriter, theater artist, and poet Gerson Main’s favorite instrument is the Dutch language. With his witty, skillfully crafted, and narrative songs, he will be performing in the Choir Hall.
Yulianna Beziazychna (Antichambre) – Twelve-year-old (!) pianist Yulianna from Leidschendam won the Royal Concertgebouw Competition in June 2026 in convincing fashion. She will therefore be a guest performer at a Free Lunch Concert this coming season.
Pearl Jozefzoon and Danielle Kok (Pleinfoyer) – Sing Along with Pearl Jozefzoon, a (Dutch spoken) musical extravaganza for the whole family!
ZO! Talent Choir (Mirror Hall) – Following last year’s success, the ZO! Gospel Choir’s talent choir is back! Once again, they’ll be presenting a program full of soul and gospel.
Sofie and the Miracle of Fez (Mirror Hall) – A sneak peek at a (Dutch spoken) family concert about scents, colors, Arabic wisdom, and friendship.
Rámon Mendeville (Bordes) - Following last year's success, musician Rámon Mendeville returns with his body percussion workshop for the whole family!
