The Piatti Quartet will be playing two particularly well-loved quartets this evening: Felix Mendelssohn’s String Quartet No. 6 and the only string quartet ever written by Edward Elgar. The concert also includes the world premiere performance of a string quartet by British composer Emily Howard, commissioned in part by The Concertgebouw.
