In Amsterdam the Castalian String Quartet will celebrate the fact that Janáček wrote his First String Quartet, nicknamed the ‘Kreutzer Sonata’, a hundred years ago. The quartet will also play music by Janáček's admirer Turnage, as well as Mendelssohn's Sixth String Quartet.
