This concert has no intermission
Join tenor Freddie Ballentine and pianist Kunal Lahiry on a journey to 'be who you are'. With lots of music, from Schubert to Nina Simone, and ballroom dancers: from the first queer recognition to coming out and the effect on your life afterwards. So Loud, So Proud!
Before and after the concert, you can enjoy our photo wall, and the bars will be open. Treat yourself to the most delicious cocktails for just €12.50. Plus, makeup artist Vladimir Derugin will be on hand before and after the concert to help you look your best. And after the concert, the party will continue in the foyers during the afterparty with DJ Balaque.

The SummerConcerts powered by VriendenLoterij presents two months of wonderful concerts, from classical to jazz and from pop to film music. Top musicians from the Netherlands and around the world bring you all your favourite classical pieces.
We also present a host of young talent in our summer concerts, including youth orchestras from Ukraine and the United States, and top young classical soloists. After many of the concerts, we offer a meet-and-greet with the artists in an informal setting, or an afterparty with DJ in the Entrance Hall. In one of the world’s finest concert halls, there’s something for everyone this summer at The Concertgebouw!
