Violin Concerto in A minor, op. 53
Dances from Galánta
Lyrical violin melodies, rich orchestral sound and rousing Czech folk music make the Violin Concerto - one of the signature pieces of super virtuoso Christian Tetzlaff - a highlight of Dvořák's Slavic period. Karina Canellakis conducts her Radio Philharmonic Orchestra in this violin fireworks display and in Kodály's dancing tribute to his hometown of Galánta.
