‘This is the best work I have ever written,’ Mozart wrote to his father about his Quintet for piano, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and horn. The members of the Concertgebouw Orchestra, who will perform the work this morning, will give a top-class performance. Mozart's masterpiece will be joined by its younger sibling: Beethoven's Quintet for the same instruments.
