The magic was palpable when singer-songwriters Gabriel Ríos and Augusto Bracho shared the stage last April during an unforgettable concert in our Recital Hall. Less than a year later, the two are back, this time as part of Sietepè, a trio featuring producer and musician Ruben Samama. Sietepè will release their first album in April 2027: Edad media. An album born from their shared fascination with Spanish-language music and Latin American songwriting.
Gabriel Ríos and Augusto Bracho were ardent fans of each other’s music before Ríos had the idea of asking the Venezuelan songwriter to join him in Europe with the goal of performing and writing songs together. Having collaborated with Gabriel Ríos on previous records, producer and multi/instrumentalist Ruben Samama closed the circle and before long a new album was on the horizon. This upcoming album 'Edad media' is a collection of original compositions, that, while taking inspiration in the Latin American canon, manages to remain rooted in the ever present. A trio of distinct travelers (Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Netherlands) collide, conflagrate, and amalgamate under the name Sietepè.
