American Caroline Shaw is this season’s composer in residence at The Concertgebouw. Together with the Kamus Quartet she’ll explore the musical worlds of Des Prez, Scarlatti, Beethoven and her own work. ‘Whether I’m working with a string quartet, a choir or even an orchestra, I try for the feeling that you form a band together, in which everyone is equally important’, says Shaw.
