About the concert
Beethoven’s Fourth Piano Concerto is bursting with dramatic gestures. Virtuoso French pianist Alexandre Kantorow has a singular talent for bringing the drama to the fore. Richard Strauss’ Metamorphosen, composed following the bombing of Dresden, is his most personal work, gripping and intensely moving music.
The Netherlands Philharmonic
