With the son of the legendary Hagen Quartet’s first violinist on cello, the new Javus Quartett is firmly in the Hagen tradition. This morning, the Javus will play an arrangement of Bach's Ich ruf zu dir Herr Jesu Christ, and Beethoven’s opus 132, with stunningly moving middle movement, the famous ‘song of thanks’ composed after his miraculous recovery from a serious illness.
