With the son of the legendary Hagen Quartet’s first violinist on cello, the new Javus Quartett is firmly in the Hagen tradition. This morning, the Javus will play a love song by Poulenc and Beethoven’s opus 132, with stunningly moving middle movement, the famous ‘song of thanks’ composed after his miraculous recovery from a serious illness.
