Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony has been called ‘the apotheosis of dance’, but it also has a gorgeous and moving slow movement. A master at the piano himself, Rachmaninoff unleashed his own technical virtuosity and compositional brilliance to write his variations on Paganini’s Caprice No. 24. It's the perfect piece for the rising star Eva Gevorgyan, who made her debut in the Recital Hall last year, to show what she can do.
