Intermission

Mussorgsky - Pictures at an Exhibition

  • This concert has an intermission

Playing in The Concertgebouw gives Maxim Emelyanychev twice his usual energy. He says it’s both the space itself and its history. For this evening’s concert in the Main Hall, the versatile Spotlight musician has chosen Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and works by Ravel and Rachmaninoff. What’s extra-special about this concert is that there will be several pianos in the Main Hall, different instruments whose colour and tone suit the different pieces on the programme.
