From New West with Love

Following two successful editions with performers from Amsterdam’s Zuidoost (southeast) district, it’s the exciting Nieuw-West’s turn to shine on 13 November! From New West with Love is a dazzling show in the Main Hall, full of music, dance and 'spoken word' by over twenty performers. Expect a colourful mix of the genres that make up New West: from classical and jazz to torch songs and tearjerkers, pop, hip-hop, Turkish, Surinamese, Moroccan and Arabic styles.

With Karsu, Willeke Alberti, Dio, Ahmed El Maai and more!

Some big names will be on stage, such as the internationally acclaimed singer Karsu, the legendary Willeke Alberti, rapper Dio and singer and oud player Ahmed El Maai. Columnist Henk Spaan will also contribute with a piece written especially for tonight. The musical accompaniment will be by the Oorkaan Ensemble and Amsterdam’s own Andalusian Orchestra. Hosts are comedian Howard Komproe and Thai boxer and youth worker Soumia Abalhaya.
