The flamboyant Maxim Emelyanychev has his own Spotlight concert in The Concertgebouw. Tonight, he’ll perform in the Recital Hall with players from one of his favourite ensembles, Solisti il Pomo d’Oro. On the programme is music by Bach, Telemann, Vivaldi, Palestrina, Marais and Kapsberger. Emelyanychev himself will play harpsichord, organ and cornetto (a wind instrument from the Renaissance and early baroque).
