Happy holidays and a wonderful 2026!

The Concertgebouw wishes you a wonderful and musical 2026! We look back on a special musical year, filled with beautiful concerts. These included a delightful Christmas concert by the King's Singers, watch Jingle Bells below. And be sure to read the New Year's message from our General Director Simon Reinink.

We hope to see you again at The Concertgebouw next year!

A message from General Director Simon Reinink:

2025 was a remarkable year in every respect. There were plenty of highlights. The Mahler Festival in May stood out above the rest: all concerts were sold out, visitors felt they were in musical heaven, and the live streams in Vondelpark are already legendary. Partly thanks to this success, we welcomed more than 800,000 visitors this year, the highest number in almost twenty years. We are also delighted to see that new and younger audiences are finding their way to the Concertgebouw more and more often.

The building itself is also more beautiful than ever. The Recital Hall and our artists' foyer have been thoroughly renovated, and thanks to the installation of heat pump systems, The Concertgebouw has become considerably more sustainable. We have been able to achieve all this thanks in part to your support. We are very grateful!

At the same time, it was a year of change and challenges. The sharp rise in geopolitical tensions has not left us unaffected. Furthermore, 2025 marks the last year in which The Concertgebouw will have the legal form of a public limited company. From 2026 onwards, we will continue our activities unchanged as a foundation. We thank our shareholders for their understanding and will do everything we can to keep them involved in our activities in their new capacity as founders. On behalf of all our employees and our supervisory directors, I wish you happy holidays and a bright, musical 2026.

Simon Reinink
