Famous Soloists in the Recital Hall

The ‘Famous Soloists in the Recital Hall’ series has become a household name in just two years. Three of the four greats are string players, but the opening concert features star clarinettist Martin Fröst, who is just as happy playing classical repertoire as he is experimenting. American audience favourite Joshua Bell is back again. In the violinist’s own words, the Recital Hall gives him the freedom to draw everything out of the music. 

Cellist Nicolas Altstaedt also describes The Concertgebouw as his favourite venue. ‘I love the acoustics and the atmosphere there,’ he once said. Together with Maxim Emelyanychev, our Spotlight Artist for the 2025–2026 season, he will turn it into a musical celebration. The youngest in the line-up of Great Soloists is Sheku Kanneh-Mason, the figurehead of the new generation of cellists.
