Lucas & Arthur Jussen play Gershwin, Fauré & Ravel
Tonight, Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue is in the hands of pianists Lucas and Arthur Jussen, who find a recital in The Concertgebouw, with only the grand pianos on stage, intimidating. But intimidating in the most beautiful way imaginable. In addition to Gershwin, they present a sample of pianistic colours, from Bach to contemporary notes.

Piano Nights
Piano Nights puts the piano in the spotlight and lets you hear the most beautiful piano music of all time. In an atmospherically lit hall, two pianists each perform a completely different repertoire. Expect delightful romantic sounds from classical composers, but also compelling works from neoclassical heroes.

Melody Gardot
Melody Gardot combines a distinctive voice with timeless songs and a unique, personal blend of jazz, blues, folk, bossa nova, and soul. Accompanied by her phenomenal band, this intriguing musical personality will be performing at the Main Hall for her only show in the Netherlands during this tour.

Jaap van Zweden & Gautier Capuçon: Dvořák & Berlioz
Perfect music, full of passion and sorrow: Jaap van Zweden and Gautier Capuçon collaborate in Dvořák's Cello Concerto. It was love at first sight between the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and Van Zweden, who recently became the ensemble's chief conductor. They perform Berlioz's theatrical Symphonie Fantastique.

Kurt Elling & Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw
A delightful tradition: the end-of-year concert by the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw. This year, they welcome the amazing jazz vocalist Kurt Elling, 'the standout male vocalist of our time'. Together they will perform a heartwarming concert with a nod to Christmas with swinging Christmas classics and the most beautiful songs from Kurt Elling's oeuvre.

Jakub Józef Orliński sings works by Giovanni Alberto Ristori
Jakub Józef Orliński, the breakdancing countertenor, is winning the hearts of classical music lovers, including a new generation of fans. Traditional Baroque music and modern flair go hand in hand with him. His accompanists in the music of Ristori are the energetic players of il Pomo d'Oro. Together, they bring the glory days of the 18th-century court in Dresden back to life.

Pekka Kuusisto plays and conducts Sibelius' Violin Concerto
The renowned Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and the adventurous violinist and guest conductor Pekka Kuusisto guarantee an energetic evening. With his personal sound Kuusisto brings Sibelius’ compelling Violin Concerto to life: a work that grew from a failed premiere into a world classic.

Dvořák's Symphony No. 9 and Kian Soltani plays Elgar
‘His cello sound has the softness and richness of caramel,’ wrote The Washington Post about Kian Soltani’s playing. He will perform as soloist with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra in Elgar's beloved Cello Concerto. Under its chief conductor Krzysztof Urbański, the orchestra will also perform Dvořák's popular Ninth Symphony.

Bach's St Matthew Passion with Ton Koopman and Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Choir
The Dutch St Matthew tradition is a unique phenomenon: in the weeks leading up to Easter, the work is performed hundreds of times. This is also the case in our Main Hall by Ton Koopman and his Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra. With his infectious energy and sparkling musicality, Koopman makes Baroque music sound as if it were written yesterday.

Janine's Beethoven: complete Violin Sonatas with Denis Kozhukhin
Many musicians are commemorating the 200th anniversary of Beethoven's death this year. Among them are the Netherlands' most celebrated violinist, Janine Jansen, and one of her favourite chamber music partners, pianist Denis Kozhukhin. 'A perfect pair', according to Bachtrack.

Sir Simon Rattle conducts Mahler and Beethoven
An experience like no other: a performance by the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by its chief conductor Sir Simon Rattle. These two giants together make for an inspiring encounter between a visionary conductor and an orchestra with a rich, warm-blooded tradition.

Yuja Wang performs Brahms' Piano Concertos 1 and 2
Piano virtuoso Yuja Wang has performed in the Main Hall many times. Tonight she is a guest with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, of which she has been Artistic Partner since 2024, and she will conduct the orchestra from behind the grand piano in Brahms' monumental piano concertos.
