Thomas Adès
Not only is Thomas Adès one of the most important composers of our time, but he is also equally successful as a conductor and pianist. It’s for good reason that he’s made several previous guest appearances with the Concertgebouw Orchestra. Now the British sorcerer is back with the Inferno movement from his ballet music based on Dante’s The Divine Comedy – a very colourful journey through hell, co-commissioned by the orchestra. And Franz Liszt is never far away.
