About the concert
Join Israel Nachman and the Jewish Amsterdam Chamber Ensemble in the Main Hall for the 8th night of Chanukah in The Concertgebouw. (All presentations will be in English.)
Chanukah 2022
Come celebrate the last night of Chanukah in the Main Hall of The Concertgebouw! For the eight time we will celebrate Chanukah with the Jewish Community of Amsterdam jointly lighting the Chanukia (traditional eight-armed candelabra) on the eight night of Chanukah. We’ve put together a special program of musical gems which will appeal to both a Jewish and non-Jewish audience.
Musicians and repertoire
Once again we welcome Cantor Israel Nachman with his breathtaking voice and will be accompanied by the Jewish Amsterdam Chamber Ensemble. We will perform a broad-spectrum program incorporating Jewish, Israeli, classical, and contemporary music. This evening we will bring special attention to the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the State of Israel. The Musical Director for the evening will be Barry Mehler and Concert patron will be Leo Samama.
Refreshments
At our concert you’ll enjoy more than just music. Everyone will be treated to a special Chanukah delicacy 'sufganiot' (jelly doughnuts) and kosher wine – all included in the ticket price.
