Flamenco, UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage, comes alive with star dancer Rafaela Carrasco, joined by singer Gema Caballero and guitarist Jesús Torres in an intimate return to tradition.
Rafaela Carrasco
Rafaela Carrasco, Premio Nacional de Danza 2023, is one of Spain’s most acclaimed flamenco artists. A leading dancer and choreographer, she has transformed flamenco on the world stage while always remaining true to its essence. It is a great honor to welcome her back to the Netherlands, where she will present an intimate performance that highlights her artistry and deep connection to flamenco’s roots.
Flamenco: UNESCO Cultural Heritage
Since 2010, flamenco has been recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage, embodying the cultural soul of Andalusia. In ConCierto Gusto, Carrasco returns to the roots of flamenco: traditional forms subtly dramatized and directed by herself. She is joined by two outstanding musicians – singer Gema Caballero and guitarist Jesús Torres – creating a dialogue of song, guitar, and dance that captures the timeless magic of flamenco.
