One of America's most distinctive orchestras, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, opens our concert season with Dvořák's Ninth Symphony, 'From the New World'. Czech warmth and American inspiration come together in this familiar and adventurous music. Principal conductor Manfred Honeck also leads his orchestra in Barber's Violin Concerto and Four Black American Dances by composer in residence for the 2026-2027 season, Carlos Simon.
