Great voices, great names. The European Culture Prize brings together music, art and film, placing the Netherlands at the centre of a special evening.
International stars on one stage
World-class artists such as Sonya Yoncheva, appearing in Amsterdam following performances on the world’s leading opera stages, the acclaimed violinist Nicola Benedetti, and the Caro Emerald project. For this evening, the singer returns to the stage with her signature hit, for the first time accompanied by the Nationaal Jeugdorkest (NJO).
The next generation takes the stage
With Emma Kok and the award-winning pianist Nikola Meeuwsen, a new generation of artists is presented, already reaching a wide audience. Emma Kok first gained national recognition at a young age and now reaches audiences internationally, while Nikola Meeuwsen, the first Dutch prizewinner of the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition, is considered one of the most exciting pianists of his generation. The Nationaal Jeugdorkest brings together the Netherlands’ most talented young musicians and performs under the direction of Antony Hermus.
