This concert has an intermission
After hearing Beethoven’s Fourteenth String Quartet, Schubert is said to have wondered ‘What is left to write?’. Tonight, the performance is in the hands of the fifty-year-old Takács Quartet. They’ll also play music by Haydn and a recent work by Clarice Assad, in a typical Takács combination of traditional and new.
