The Ferschtman family and some musician friends will play a series of three concerts centred on Shostakovich, a composer close to their hearts. They’re eager to pass on the secrets of performing this music to the next generation. This evening, the last of the three, we’ll hear late Shostakovich – his Fifteenth Symphony in an arrangement for percussion and piano trio. You’ll also hear the echoes of loneliness in Seven Romances on Poems of Aleksander Blok.
