The Dutch musician Felbm (Eelco Topper’s stage name) has made a splash internationally since 2018 with instrumental music that combines acoustic and electronic elements into intriguing compositions. To make his new album winterspring/summerfall, he recorded his observations of nature for a year, working them into a timeless suite eighty minutes long. Tonight in the Choir Hall, he’ll play this piece live with a trio of contrabass, piano and flute. The 21 September date is completely appropriate, as it’s the autumnal equinox.
