This concert has an intermission
Portuguese pianist Raúl da Costa makes his recital debut at The Concertgebouw with an enchanting program that interweaves masterpieces from the piano repertoire of Tchaikovsky and Mussorgsky with contemporary Portuguese and Spanish sounds. The journey takes us from the lyrical depth of Dumka and the evocative power of Mussorgsky's famous miniatures to the intimate poetry of Mompou and the Iberian brilliance of Vianna da Motta and Francisco Coll.
