Jorge Drexler

An exclusive concert in the Netherlands by Jorge Drexler, one of the most prominent voices in today’s Spanish-language music scene. The charming and unconventional Uruguayan singer and composer will perform solo. For more than thirty years, Drexler has been building a multifaceted body of work, which now includes fifteen albums. These are albums in which he brings together music, literature, and knowledge, always guided by his curiosity, his drive to experiment, and his deep love for poetry.

Drexler, who originally trained as a doctor, moved to Spain in 1995 to focus entirely on music. Among other honors, he has won an Oscar and several Latin Grammys. With his new album TARACÁ , he is breaking new ground: an album that bridges cultures, eras, and styles, with the rhythm of Uruguayan candombe as its common thread. Performing entirely solo tonight, Jorge Drexler brings TARACÁ to life, complemented by other songs from his rich career.
