Concertgebouw OPEN

Concertgebouw OPEN

  • Concertgebouw OPEN is free! You do need to reserve a free ticket that specifies the time you’d like to enter. After that, you can stay as long as you like!

It’s become a beloved tradition: Concertgebouw OPEN! This year, you can once again enjoy wandering through The Concertgebouw. With mini-concerts featuring, among others, the orchestra Het Klassiek Collectief, beautiful (neo)classical piano music by Hannes Minnaar and Helena Basilova, performances by the Otilka Quartet, the ZO! Talent Choir, and organist Laurens de Man, and much, much more. There are also audio tours, family concerts, the chance to have your photo taken on our famous conductor’s staircase, and the opportunity to win concert credits at our Wheel of Fortune. And there’s so much more - all during Concertgebouw OPEN.

Concertgebouw OPEN

On Saturday, September 5, The Concertgebouw will throw its doors wide open again! Come enjoy a wonderful afternoon filled with music; in all the halls, corridors, and lobbies, everyone is welcome to listen to mini-concerts featuring a wide variety of sounds. Concertgebouw OPEN is free! You’ll need to reserve a free ticket indicating the time you’d like to enter. And once you’re in, you can stay as long as you like!

For everyone

There’s plenty to experience musically during Concertgebouw OPEN! Wander through The Concertgebouw and enjoy family concerts like Sofie en het wonder van Fez (Dutch spoken). Or let yourself be enchanted by the sounds of the piano in the Main Hall during an OPEN edition of Piano Nights, featuring Hannes Minnaar and Helena Basilova. Or be swept away by the orchestra Het Klassiek Collectief. For a more intimate experience, enjoy classical chamber music by the Otilka Quartet. Have you always wanted to hear the impressive Concertgebouw organ? Laurens de Man will take you on a journey through famous organ classics. Due to its huge success, we’re once again welcoming the ZO! Talent Choir this year. Through the Dutch-spoken audio tour (don’t forget your earbuds!), you can discover more about the building itself. And oh yes, there’s so much more to do!
