This romantic concert opens a new season of Sunday Morning Concerts, with Ivan Karizna playing the most popular cello concerto by Saint-Saëns, who also composed the ‘cello hit’ The Swan. The Hague’s Residentie Orkest and Polish conductor Michał Nesterowicz will play Mendelssohn’s Third Symphony, known as the 'Scottish' since it was written after he travelled through England and Scotland.
