Aynur, one of the most iconic and influential voices in contemporary Kurdish music, is coming to the Main Hall with her band! For over 25 years, Aynur has connected her Kurdish musical roots with a wide spectrum of modern sounds. She’s worked with partners from many diverse musical paths including maestro Riccardo Muti, the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble and cellist Yo-Yo Ma. The latter summed up Aynur’s talents beautifully: 'To hear Aynur’s voice is to hear the transformation of all the layers of human joy and suffering into one sound. It reaches so deep into our soul, tears into our hearts and then we are, for one moment, joined as one. It is unforgettable.' Unforgettable... so don’t miss it!
